ART BORN OUT OF TRAUMA

TRAUMA and ART

FRANCIS BACON

WAR, TrAUma and ART

FRANCIS BACON (1909-1992), the British artist, painted provocative and disturbing images that carry a raw sense of anxiety and alienation- the viewers walk away with a underlying feeling of tension.

Despite this tension or maybe because of the tension - Bacon is recognized as one of the most influential artist of his times.

War and trauma, it has an affect on the artist, the audience and the ART.

The Reading Room

The Second Best Selling Book of all Times

FEBRUARY 22, 2017 BY CAROLINE CORBIN

This was a question that stood out to me because I was left wondering what is the appropriate book cover for the second most popular book in history. So obviously for this blog post I decided to Google a bunch of covers and discuss them.

After reading the Caroline Corbin's blog I thought about it, how do you choose. Choosing a cover to fit the visual of a story is very subjective process. It depends on who is choosing, how the story reads to them, when the were born and the social framework they were raised in. After looking at the covers she suggested this the cover I related to.
