It was Wild and it was Wet - ART BASEL 2015 MIAMI

Beyond the ART, Art Basel 2015 was about the weather- torrential downpours which effected the traffic, and the traffic is always snarled. Not to mention, the insane incident that was mistaken for PERFORMANCE ART. And the disturbing thing was, people watched it, like one of those TV crime shows. The attack was real and the blood was real. BUT IT ALL SEEMED SO UNREAL ---

And to add to it - according to Franco-American Sidonie Sawyer blogger for Huffington Post, "Don't forget In the middle of all that, on Alton Road, a main street on Miami Beach, police officers shot an alleged bank robber in the middle of the road, creating more confusion, and even more traffic".

So why do we come here every year?

THE LURE OF ART BASEL is in it's sensory overload. 70,000 people from around the globe trying to maneuver through an already cramped city to see at least 23 official art fairs and who knows how many other shows and   events.  People and ART is everywhere and you know you can't see it all.  ART BASEL is for Miami what Black Friday is for the retailer.  It can only be understood through images - so here are some pictures
