I was setting at my table, before me was a blank page. Mom and Dad just bought me a pad of art paper because my scratches on notebook paper look promising. I had colored pens, watercolors and pencils and I couldn't think what to draw. My cousins on the other hand were prolific. Their Dad brought them an end of a roll of butcher paper. I was commissioned to decorate 3 pairs of shoes for the New Orleans Krewe of Muses.
This was a fun project and now there is glitter everywhere and now my wife wants me to docorate some boots for her and some of here friends are also asking:-))

Ellsworth Ausby, died last year March 6, 2011, he was a painter, a Professor, a family man and a friend. He was a Professor of Art at the School of Visual Arts for over 30 years. He help a lot of students from different cultures. He also traveled in Africa, exhibited at the National Museums in Lagos, and museums in the United States.
