Lessons from Fountain Square Art Festival (Part 2)

Belated Wishes & Hanging with Mr. Crossley

For My Fellow Artist Friends,

A belated happy fathers day to you all of you who are fathers and to the sisters who have had to fill both roles. I spent the weekend on the road visiting the Montgomery Greyhound Bus Station Museum, picking up my piece from the 2011 opening exhibition and checking put the artwork for the 2012 exhibition. It is some great work by Alabama artists and I will upload some photos tomorrow as we just got in a few hours ago.

Now celebrating its 33rd year, Fountain Square Art Festival is the largest and oldest fine arts fair on Chicago’s majestic North Shore. Internships

I want to thank BAA for sharing internship opportunities. They provide for experience and contacts in art related institutions.

It would be helpful for suggestions on benefits. Most people who meet the high standards of education and skills will find it difficult to work for no compensation. Those institutions that offer a sufficient amount of money may draw applicants from a more diverse pool.

Marcus Jansen at Unit A Contemporary Art Space

Donson, (Author of the American Vanguard Exhibitions 1961) notes Jansen as the  "innovator of urban expressionism."  A former Gulf War soldier who transformed his life from a soldier at war to a soldier in the arts is widely recognized for his edgy socio-political works over the last 15 years that inspire discourse among viewers and have been commissioned for companies  like Absolut Vodka, Warner…
